Cookie Policy
This page explains every cookie and similar technology used on this website, what each one does, and how to change your mind at any time. We have kept the list short on purpose — there are no advertising trackers here, and there never will be.

How we ask for your permission
Nothing that requires your consent runs before you give it. When you first arrive, a notice appears at the foot of the page with two equally weighted choices — accept or decline — and a link to set each category individually. Declining is one click, exactly like accepting.
- We never treat scrolling, closing a notice, or continuing to browse as consent.
- No option is pre-selected on your behalf, and nothing is bundled with anything else.
- Access to this site is never conditional on accepting cookies. The whole site — including every film — works if you decline.
- Your choice is remembered for 6 months, after which we ask again. You can change it before then at any time.
Every cookie we use
The table below is generated from the same configuration that drives the preferences panel, so what you are asked about and what is listed here cannot fall out of step.
Essential
Required for the site to work and to remember the choice you make here. These are never used to track you, and they cannot be switched off.
Strictly necessary — no consent required
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Stored as | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| iwce.consent.v1 | I Wish Chic Events | Remembers the cookie choices you make on this site so you are not asked again on every page. | Local storage | 6 months |
| media-chrome-pref-muted | I Wish Chic Events (Mux Player) | Remembers whether you muted a film, so the player behaves the way you left it. A single true/false value — it identifies nothing and is never sent anywhere. | Local storage | Until you clear your browser storage |
| __prerender_bypass, __next_preview_dataEditors only | I Wish Chic Events (Next.js) | Lets our editors preview unpublished content. Only ever set after signing in to the content system. | Cookie | Session |
| Sanity Studio sessionEditors only | Sanity.io | Keeps our editors signed in to the content management system at /studio. Never set for site visitors. | Cookie | Up to 30 days |
Video Insights
Lets us see how our films are watched — playback quality, buffering, where viewers stop. This stores an anonymous viewer ID on your device. Our films play either way; declining only turns off the measurement.
Your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a))
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Stored as | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| muxData (containing mux_viewer_id) | Mux, Inc. | An anonymous viewer ID used to measure video playback quality and engagement across our films. | Local storage | Until you clear your browser storage |
Site Statistics
Anonymous, aggregated page counts that tell us which work resonates. Nothing is stored on your device and no profile is built about you, so we rely on our legitimate interest — but you can object here at any time.
Legitimate interest (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)) — you may object
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Stored as | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vercel Web Analytics | Vercel Inc. | Counts page views in aggregate. Sets no cookie and writes nothing to your device; no cross-site or cross-session profile is created. | No device storage | Not stored on your device |
A note on our films
Video on this site is delivered by Mux. With Video Insights switched on, Mux stores an anonymous viewer ID on your device and measures playback quality — how quickly a film starts, whether it buffers, where viewers stop watching. We use it to keep the films working well, not to identify you.
If you decline, our films still play, in full and at the same quality. We simply pass Mux instructions not to store anything on your device and not to send playback telemetry. Nothing about your experience of the work changes.
A note on site statistics
We count page views with Vercel Web Analytics. It sets no cookie and writes nothing to your device, so it does not require your consent under the ePrivacy rules. It does process your IP address in the moment of the request, which makes it personal data under the GDPR, and we rely on our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) in understanding which of our work resonates.
Because that is a legitimate interest rather than your consent, you have the right to object to it under Article 21. Switching Site Statistics off in does exactly that — the measurement stops in your browser and no data is sent.
What this site deliberately does not do
Each of the following is a common practice on comparable sites. None of it happens here.
No advertising or profiling trackers
This site carries no advertising pixels, no remarketing tags and no cross-site profiling of any kind. There is no Meta Pixel, no Google Analytics, no Google Tag Manager and no TikTok or Pinterest tag.
Instagram images never contact Meta from your browser
Photographs from our Instagram feed are fetched by our own server and re-served from this domain. Your browser does not connect to Meta's servers to display them, so Meta receives no record of your visit.
Typefaces are served from this site
Our typefaces are downloaded at build time and served from our own domain. Your browser makes no request to Google Fonts or any other font host, so your IP address is not shared with them.
No sale or sharing of personal data
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising purposes.
Changing your mind
On this site
Open — also linked in the footer of every page — and change any category. New choices take effect immediately; you do not need to reload.
In your browser
You can also block or delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings, independently of anything on this site. The relevant instructions live in each browser’s own help pages, under privacy or site data. Clearing site data will also erase the record of your choices here, so we will ask you again on your next visit.
Most browsers additionally offer a “Do Not Track” or global privacy signal. Since we set nothing non-essential without an explicit opt-in, declining here already achieves more than those signals do.
Where this data goes
Our hosting and analytics provider is Vercel Inc. and our video provider is Mux, Inc., both established in the United States. Where personal data reaches them it may be processed outside the European Economic Area, under the safeguards set out in Chapter V of the GDPR — standard contractual clauses and, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Full detail on recipients, retention and your rights is in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to this policy
If we introduce a new cookie or tracking technology, we update this page and reset every stored choice, so you are asked again rather than carried over on a consent that was given for something else.
